Best Grilling Tips & Recipes

Grilling is a fun way in cooking your favorite meat. It is a method of cooking which lessens the fat of the meat, which is very good for health-conscious people. The proper way of grilling and recipes are important to achieve the best result for our taste.

Grilling your food is a delightful way of cooking food. It reduces the fats from the food we eat like chicken meat, pork or beef. Grilling is a popular activity for parties, outdoor activities or, even just for your desire of grilled food.

Prepare the food and trim large fat from the steaks and chops. As much as possible, only inch of fat should be enough for flavoring. Besides, too much fat will cause frequent flame ups and it may cause to overcook and perhaps spoil the taste of the food.

There are some important things to know to achieve the best results in grilling your favorite food. To start with, consider the charcoal. Use crumpled paper or fuel to light the charcoal. Create a pyramid-like piling of the charcoal and ignite it with a lighter or a match. Keep it burning until the flames are gone and you can see ashes forming. Maintain the heat for about 25 minutes to absorb the fuel or gas from the charcoal to avoid having the taste of it in your food.

When the charcoal is totally coated with ash, arrange them properly, maintaining an even heat. Next step is to put the cooking grates on top of the charcoal. Now you can prepare your food for grilling. Be careful that the charcoal does not touch the grates to avoid too much heat coming to the food.

Apply some air flow while grilling to maintain the heat of the charcoal. You can use a portable fan or simply anything to maintain the right flame. If flare should occur, transfer the food to any part of the grate and stop applying air. The flames will subside and again position the food evenly on the grate.

For safety purposes, avoid direct contact with the grate because it is extremely hot and it might burn you. Long handled tools and long barbecue sticks are recommended for protecting you from the heat. Also keep away all flammable materials near the grills.
Always clean your grilling equipment after use to avoid having rust and insects. Wash thoroughly with liquid soap and keep them dry. Remove ashes from the tray.

Pork is the most common meat grilled and has the best taste. One of the most important ingredients to achieve a delicious taste of grilled pork is the sauce. Keep in mind sauce that contains sugar easily burns. It is important that you put sauce on your food after 10 to 20 minutes of grilling.

Never boil your food to be grilled because it will lessen the flavor. The best way to grill the pork is slowly with indirect heat. For best results, chop the meat to an inch or thicker. Apply some oil to achieve juiciness and tenderness of the meat.
